Cost Accountant - Agri-Business
Job DescriptionPrimary PurposeThis position will handle the daily and monthly accounting activities for Agri-Business.
The position will be focused on ensuring the accuracy of financial information in order to safeguard the assets of the company.
Major Duties & Responsibilities Prepares weekly bottom-line estimates, weekly product profit and loss (P&L) reports and operating statistics.
Completes weekly Agristats reporting pertaining to areas of responsibility.
Completes Month-End Close process and reporting.
Duties include inventory control, balance sheet reconciliations, operations and statistical reporting and analyses for designated areas of responsibility.
Provides explanations of variances to weekly estimates.
Participates in monthly cost reviews with management and provides analyses and details as requested.
Prepares annual budget for respective areas and provides historical trends and detailed information to directors to assist in developing spending budgets for the upcoming fiscal year.
Completes ad-hoc analyses to support business.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree.
1 - 3 years' related work experience.
Understanding generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Recommended Skills Bank Reconciliation Finance Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Statistics Stock Control Financial Management Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
